After tending to wounds caused by the Great Recession, NACM is making a serious effort to grow again. Just like almost every kind of membership organization in the world, the downturn caused a lot of people to quit joining groups of any kind. Churches, golf clubs, service clubs and professional associations. Each has experienced significant member losses in recent years including us
Add to this the demographic shift happening in our country – baby boomers retiring and Millennials coming into the work force – and everything is changing. Quickly! There is no clear path on how to deal with all of this change, but we also can’t just sit back and hope things will go back to being the way they were. So, we’re getting busy and trying some things:
- A new Membership Drive has been launched. And we already have two new members in the first two weeks.
- We’ve just added a new staff member focused on new members and customers. This is the first new sales person we’ve added in quite a while and we’re quite excited about what he brings to the party.
- New educational programs are being unveiled and a re-designed Western Region Credit Conference is coming this fall.
All of this is intended to enhance the value of membership in NACM. With more members and customers, we’re able to do more for you. If we all get invested in the growth of our association, the health of the credit profession benefits. And, that’s great for everyone.
Thanks for your time and support. Now, let’s GROW!
Best regards,
Jon Flora

We’ve heard you and are introducing our almost monthly Lunch & Learn Series.
Each discussion will be held at our office in Seattle, have a speaker addressing a topic many of you have asked for, and include a box lunch. Each program will be limited to the first 20 participants, run about 90 minutes and cost $30.
If you want to bring a non-member to introduce them to NACM, they’re welcome, too! The first quarter schedule is included in the calendar at right. We look forward to seeing you soon.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Welcome Ben Cox. We’ll be in Portland October 14-16 for what is shaping up to be an excellent educational opportunity. It will be sharp, concise and fun.
If you can’t make it to Congress this year or want some new educational opportunities, this is your event.
The WRCC will also dovetail with the CFDD National Conference also being held in Portland this year. Aligning the two programs enables you to do both for an affordable price.
Complete details will be coming soon so mark the dates in your calendar. Ballots will be sent to the primary contact for each member company who will then be asked to cast votes for their choice to serve. Background information will be sent out a week prior to the election. We have some very good candidates this year and, as always, this will be a tough choice. So get ready to cast your votes!
