How to Read it
An Experian Business Credit Report provides a snapshot of a company’s financial health and creditworthiness. Key sections include:
- Business Profile: Basic company details (name, address, industry).
- Credit Summary: Overview of accounts, payment trends, and total balances.
- Credit Scores: The Intelliscore Plus score (1–100) predicts risk, with higher scores indicating lower risk.
- Payment History: Detailed record of on-time, late, or delinquent payments to vendors and creditors.
- Public Records: Bankruptcies, liens, judgments.
- UCC Filings: Secured transactions that may indicate outstanding debt.
When to Pull it
Pull an Experian Business Credit Report when you’re evaluating a company for credit terms, forming a new partnership, making large sales, assessing suppliers, or during routine risk management checks. It’s especially important before extending trade credit or entering high-value agreements.
