Concrete Technology Corporation is a Tacoma area concrete manufacturing company that takes pride in the people who make precast, pre-stressed concrete products for the great northwest and beyond. The full-time Credit Manager vacancy is due to retirement and we are excited to welcome another great member to our CTC and Finance team.

The Credit Manager reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for contributing to the productivity and profitability of the company through credit recommendations, billing and collections and vendor qualifications while adhering to accepted credit policies. The Credit Manager builds and maintains positive relationships with customers and CTC department staff.

• Full cycle credit operations and the development of related policies and procedures
• Serve as the Company’s functional expert on Vendor Risk Management. Manages vendor requirements, insurance, W-9’s, 1099’s. Includes all tracking and communications with vendors
• Serve as the Company’s functional expert on Sales Tax. Publishes reference materials and trains other staff on sales tax issues. Reviews weekly use tax reports from AP. Prepares all sales tax reports and responds to agency inquiries
• Analyzes credit applications for new accounts, determines creditworthiness and recommends appropriate terms. Discusses credit issues with Director of Finance and Marketing. Secures a credit report from credit agency and verifies current contractor licensing information
• Monitors and updates credit information on existing customers
• Reviews customer contract billing requirements and works with customers to approve billing formats
• Prepares timely progress-billing and any related supporting documentation
• Prepares receivable aging reports
• Contacts customers with past due accounts to schedule payment, make authorized adjustments to accounts if applicable and take appropriate actions to collect on past-due accounts in a positive and professional manner
• Provides primary interaction with the other departments and assists with issues as needed on bonds, liens, financial reporting and billing functions
• Controls, records, and tracks lien notices and documents
• Tracks job completion and completes billing reconciliations
• Prepares month end GL reconciliation of receivable and payable accounts
• Prepares reports and participates in a variety of financial meetings
• Other responsibilities as assigned

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business or related field required
• 1 to 3 years of billing and collection experience preferred
• Previous experience in construction or building materials manufacturing industry a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong persuasion and negotiation skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Organized and detail oriented
