• Prepare daily cash deposits
• Enter finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer
• Obtain and mail invoice copies for customers
• Process daily and monthly credit card deposits and mail receipts to customer
• Notify COD customers of impending shipments
• Electronically file check stubs and bank receipts using scanning software
• Balance daily sales reports and post invoices to customer accounts
• Research and processes customer claims of invoice payment
• Research and processes credit and debit adjustments and NSF checks
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Process monthly statements and mail, fax or e-mail to customers
• Reconcile general ledger account to accounts receivable trial balance
• Reconcile report discrepancies and problems
• Prepare, review, balance and interpret computer reports and make corrections
• Create and generate reports that analyze customer accounts and trends
• Research and verify credit for new accounts
• Set up new accounts
• Prepare and mail letters to customers to encourage payment of delinquent amounts
• Confer with customer by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment
• Electronically record information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts
• Place customer accounts on credit hold, or assign account to a collection agencyYou Have:
• Associate Degree or equivalent in Accounting and a minimum of 5 years of comprehensive accounts receivable and collection experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A good understanding of basic accounting principles relating to accounts receivable
• A high attention to detail and excellent organization skills
• Excellent computer skills, and are proficient with the entire Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
• Great relational skills and a team-player mentality
